Forsythia is a deciduous shrub that flowers early in spring. The yellow profusion of blooms arrive before the leaves on this woody shrub. Named after botanist William Forsyth.

On PEI we are a few weeks away from seeing Forsythia. They are blooming BC and should be in bloom in New England.  I’ve seen them in bloom in Connecticut in April.
