Senior Islanders with Disabilities need your support

Seniors Minister Janice Sherry, won't promise seniors wheelchairs and hearing aids

Minister’s office wants two letters is support of nomination of Disabled for Award

Minister Janice Sherry needs 2 letters to support disabled nomination

Rules are rules and the Minister’s office has asked us to provide two letter of support for our nomination 0f 8,940 Island Seniors with Disabilities for the Island Seniors of the Year Award.

We are asking for public support.

A letter of support should state why you think Senior Islanders with Disabilities should get the award but not be more than 3 pages. One page would probably do it.

The letter of support would contain the persons being nominated for the Award (8,980 Senior Islanders with Disabilities), a brief statement of your reasons and their contribution to PEI, your name and address.

Letters should be addressed and mailed by Monday August 2, 2010 to:

PEI Senior Islanders of the Year Award Nomination Committee
Attention: Catherine Freeze
Department of Community Services, Seniors and Labour
PO Box 2000
Charlottetown, PE
C1A 7N8

Letters can also be faxed to  902-894-0242 or emailed to Catherine Freeze  cafreeze@gov.pe.ca .

If you send us an email copy of the letter to disabilityalert@gmail.com, we’ll record your support.   Thanks for helping out.

Just in from the Senior’s Secretariat – If you email, they still want a signed copy of your letter in the mail.
