Catherine MacLellan gives us another version of “Take a Break,” this time from the Music Fog Marathon stage at Threadgill’s WHQ. Catherine is joined by Chris Gauthier. Filmed in Austin, Texas during SXSW© music week 2010. From the CD Water In The Ground
Catherine MacLellan won the Socan Songwriter of the Year (PEI Music Awards) , female vocalist of the year, recording of the year for Take a Break and album of the year for Water in the Ground.
At the recent ECMA’s MacLellan won Female Solo Recording of the Year for Water In The Ground, and Folk Recording of the Year.
MacLellan is the daughter of Gene MacLellan who wrote Anne Murray’s first big hit Snowbird.
