Another study tells the old media newspapers and networks Internet users don`t pay for content

Last week it was Rupert Murdoch putting up a paywall against Google. This week the Globe and Mail, Global and the National Post want us to pay through Kindle for free news.

A new study from Forrester Research, which polled around 4,700 U.S. consumers, 80% of whom indicated they’re unwilling to pay for access to newspaper and magazine articles and other content. ComputerWorld

It is easy to see how big publishers with lots of brick and mortar will struggle to find a new economical model for their business.

However, time and tide wait for no man and the old way is going.

Looks like Saturday delivery is the loser here as the need for a postman 6 days a week is offset by the reality of lower mail volume.

Don`t worry, we lost Saturday delivery decades ago in Canada. It just means it takes the bills one day longer to get in the box.

It is ironic that the big argument for Saturday delivery was newspaper delivery to rural areas. That`s not even an argument any more.

    In a foreign oil cost conscious world, any means that takes less oil to deliver will eventually win out in the end! Once the Saudis come clean about the end for Cheap oil we will all understand just how serious getting off of oil is!
