What are we doing dying in the poppy fields and deserts of Afghanistan

The war on terrorism was all about stopping Osama Bin Laden from coming back and bombing our cities. So we are over in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban. We are bombing them and have bombed other people in Iraq.

It’s a confusing way with weird morals.

For instance, our government is against poppy harvesting and the opium trade. So are the Taliban. The Afghan war lords we support like to make money from the poppy trade. How does that work?

Wars are often remembered by heroic movies. Here are this weekends new movies from Afghanistan.
