I was having a coffee at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday when Dr. Y approached.
He was a neighbor when we lived on Inkerman Blvd. years ago.
“How are the boys?” he asked, referring to Will and James who were about 8 and 9 back then.
“Fine, both in Ontario,” I replied.
“I remember one Halloween they came to my door. It was the scariest Halloween ever.”
“Both your boys were in little suits with shirts and ties.”
“James said ‘I’m a police detective'”
“Will chimed in ‘And I’m your lawyer.'”
