with story from the Guardian

The Mi’kmaq Confederacy has re-launched their website and it’s much improved and stylish looking. As an official band website it delivers the expected programs, contacts etc. I enjoyed reading the details on the Aboriginal Justice Program and reviewing the videos. I’m a video person – YouTube or die so too much reading and I’m outta here. It’s a good site. I hope they keep adding more background information and maybe step out into advocacy. There was nothing on Ashley Smith, the aboriginal girl who died in prison. Is she of a different group? I don’t know but I thought a reference would help me understand the story. It feels a little official yet. There is no search widget and no discussion board or way to create Web 2.0 dialogue and community.
