The Beatles “Nowhere Man”

Nowhere Man” from The Beatles “Rubber Soul” album is clearly a studio song that did not translate well in live performance.

By the time the album was recorded in 1965, The Beatles were using multi-track recording to create music that was impossible to re-create on stage.

It’s no wonder The Beatles began to dislike touring. They couldn’t get their music across the way it was recorded.

“Ticket To Ride” was recorded in February 1965 and released on April 9, 1965 (19th in the UK) and started a quick climb to the top making #1 on May 22nd.

The song held the top spot for a week. Of course it was #1 in Canada and the UK.

Beatles and George Harrison fans will able to get three versions of Martin Scorsese’s documentary: DVD, Blu-Ray and Deluxe Edition Blu-Ray. Unless your player is all-regions you’re out of luck.

For North American fans, that source is not going to work since both the DVD and Blu-Ray formats are restricted to the UK, Europe, the ,Middle East and South Africa. The Blu-Ray disk will also play in Greenland, French territories, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.  Continue reading
