Leaks about the Nokia Lumia 1520 replacement abound
By Stephen Pate – We barely got availability on the US/Canadian LTE version of the Nokia Lumia 1520 and the replacement model is being leaked.
According to @evleaks the upgrade has a Snapdragon 801 processor for the new model named Lumia 1525.
When the Lumia 1525 will arrive is the big question. Since I wrote Nokia Lumia 1520 6″ LTE Now Available on Monday, Newegg.com has sold out their inventory and are showing the RM-938 model as out of stock with unknown return to inventory. That may mean nothing since B&H Photo still carry the phone.

The important part of the leak is that T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T will carry the Lumia 1525 giving it better distribution than the Lumia 1520 which was limited to AT&T.
The Lumia 1520 uses the Snapdragon 800 processor. The 801 is an interim update with a slight speed improvement. The graphic part of the 801 is 22% faster. The Galaxy S5 uses the 805 processor by way of example.
It’s like comparing apples and androids since Windows Phone operating system is considered faster than Android by some.
No leak on when, and if, Microsoft will ship a new model but it will drive early adopters crazy waiting for the news.

The Lumia 1520 is already a top smartphone with 6″ HD screen, 4-core processor, 20 MB camera and 4 mic HD audio.
The Lumia 1520 is the subject of plenty of leaks, which you can take with a grain of salt.
The 20 MP camera is rumored to be upgraded to 20 MP. The charger on the Lumia 1525 is rumored to be solar.
The Snapdragon 805 will be the processor. phonearena.com Jan 2014.
Caution
There is a vendor selling this phone for $307 – buyforsalecheap-dot-com. According to several user sites, the deal is a scam. Caveat emptor.
