Liberals say no

In discussing the new Employment Standards Act, Opposition Leader Olive Crane tried to get the government to allow one day of sick leave after one year of employment.

Can you believe the Liberals defeated the amendment? Sorry, unless you work for the Province of PEI, the Liberals don’t think you deserve sick leave.

That must put PEI somewhere back in Neanderthal times for sick leave. How do the Liberals call themselves liberal?

Oops – twitter must be working. Minister Bertram just went backward at 4:32 pm and amended section 28 to read “after 5 years”. Pretty amazing. I didn’t know her Blackberry was working in the Legislature.
