By Stephen Pate – Microsoft has lowered the price for some Surface Models as much as $250. Some savings are for President’s Day: others seem to be just good deals. Here are a few noteworthy discounts. Check the Microsoft Store for others.
Canadians can get similar savings at the Microsoft Store for Canada with savings from $100 to $200 for the Canadian Family Day holiday.
The savings vary by model and country. In the USA, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 – 128GB / Intel Core m3 has dropped to $699, which is very low for a Surface Pro 4.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 – 256GB / Intel Core i5, a popular model with 8 GB of RAM, i5 and 256GB SSD drive is $999, a $200 saving.
The Microsoft Surface Book – 128GB / Intel Core i5 is only $1,299, a $200 saving.
The Microsoft Surface Book – 256GB / Intel Core i5 is now $1,649, a $250 saving. This model has the upgrade Nvidia graphics card, and all models include a 6th Gen Intel Core i5, the Surface Pen and Windows 10 Pro.
Student and education deals – students, parents, teachers and administrators are eligible for a 10% discount at the Microsoft Store. See this link for the 10% Education Discount in Canada.
Microsoft offers free shipping and 1 year warranty on the Surface line. The warranty covers return shipping to the Microsoft service depot should a problem arise. I’ve used the Microsoft warranty service and it’s very efficient.
