First Dylan was crooning Sinatra now Walmart is stocking Bob Dylan – The Best Of The Cutting Edge 1965-1966
By Stephen Pate – It all comes around. The boy from Hibbing Minnesota can’t avoid Wal-Mart anymore than the rest of us.
The fall ritual of a Bob Dylan release has gotten the attention of the folks and Wal-Mart and they are stocking the The Best Of The Cutting Edge 1965-1966 online and in stores.
For many Americans and Canadians Wal-Mart is one of the few places that stock any physical CD’s except the indie record shops.
During 1965 and 1966, Bob Dylan recorded three of his most revered albums – Bringing It All back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde. The Best Of The Cutting Edge 1965-1966 is the 2-CD version of 18 disks of outtakes otherwise known as The Bootleg Series Vol. 12.
That seems to be enough out-takes of Bob Dylan for most people but as I say you can get the full-meal-deal at 18 CDs or a mid-sized meal at 6-CD’s. Take your pick.
$21.88 at Wal-Mart if you’re looking for it. Also available from Amazon.com, .ca, .co.uk and .de for the same amount.
