Lenny Kravitz’s puts on a funky rock performance at the iTunes London – still free
By Stephen Pate – Try to catch Lenny Kravitz’s performance at the 2014 iTunes Festival London where he put on an energetic rock show.
The band was funky and always kicking butt, no more so that during the infectious New York City. The backup singers danced and sang and Lenny Kravitz strutted around the stage getting a funky R&B groove going. The bass hook got inside my head and who doesn’t like another anthem to New York.
I got the strong impression Lenny was channeling James Brown as the song wound down. Awesome!
For a limited time you can stream the Lenny’s whole performance or three songs: New York City, Are You Gonna Go My Way and The Chamber. iTunes
New York City and The Chamber are on Lenny’s new and aptly named CD Strut available from iTunes and Amazon.com
29 other bands and artists performed at iTunes Festival London this year. They can still be freely streamed free, from Tony Bennett to Ed Sherran to Deadmaus5.
You only need an iTunes account to stream the music free.
For me Lenny Kravitz was the best along with Chrissie Hynde belting out Don’t Get Me Wrong.
I don’t know how long Apple is going to leave the content online so seize the moment.
