Ron Hynes the Man of a Thousand Songs

Thanksgiving weekend shows bring Sonny’s Dream to PEI

Ron Hynes at the Trailside this weekend

Newfoundland singer songwriter Ron Hynes needs no introduction. Everyone knows at least the chorus to Sonny’s Dream.

He will be performing this weekend at the intimate Trailside Cafe.

Decades of performing have given Ron Hynes an ease with the audience that makes his concerts special events.

They call him the man with a thousand songs. When I saw him last year at Harmony House in Hunter River he engaged the audience like they were his friends.

The documentary Man of a Thousand Songs is an unvarnished, warts and all movie about Hynes. He talked about it last year with me.

Tickets are $25 and on sale now at www.boxofficepei.com. Dinner reservations are available for prior to the shows by calling The Trailside toll free at 1- 888-704-6595, or 676-3130 local.

  1. Me

He is an amazing singer….just the St John’s Waltz is worth the effort to go hear him sing. SO much talent in Newfoundland …and he is at his young age a legend.
