Officially started today, we no longer accept snow cover and expect flowers shortly

March 21st is the official first day of Spring.

I would like to report Spring has arrived on Prince Edward Island.  

But not yet.

The days are getting longer and the snow is quickly receeding from the rain and stronger sun.

So let’s be optimistic and put the shovels, salt and sand away.

Start looking for the crocuses to poke their heads up through dry grass.

In the meantime, we’ve added a few crocuses from another year found near the Confederation Centre to our masthead.
