Hi there, As I wrote in the comments section of your Dylan concert album review, I’m a big Dylan fan AND a Brandeis alum, so I’m super-excited to hear this show. If I don’t win it, I’m buyin’ it, but I figured I’d drop you a line.
My first Dylan concert was in the Chicago area with my parents when I was 10 years old. I remember that G.E. Smith was playing in his backing band, and also that I didn’t appreciate it fully quite yet. But I’m fortunate to have seen him a few more times, including a great show during his tour with Willie Nelson at a minor league baseball stadium in Brockton, MA.
My favorite Dylan song from the 1960s is “With God On Our Side,” though admittedly that could change every time someone asks 🙂 I love that song because of how relevant it remains almost 50 years later.

Awesome choice. Bob Dylan coming from the Midwest like so many great Americans including F.Scott Fitzgerald. The message is true, so true. We saw three of those minor ballpark concerts with Willie Nelson. It was pinch me, am I really here?
The contest is over and we thank all the fans who contributed comments and entered. The winner was Mike LaFerney of Massachusetts. I wish everyone could have won. 🙂 S. Pate
