Hey-
Wasn’t there a few comments here a day ago? I thought you likened Web Sheriff to the Nazis or something silly like that? Were the comments deleted by someone?
Stephen Pate
The term used was Gestapo, as in secret police who spy on people and then seek to intimidate and punish them. Anyone who takes the name “Sheriff” is putting themselves in a class of armed, power trippers back to the days of the Sheriff of Nottingham.
You can find stories about Bob Dylan by typing “Dylan” in the search box; under the Menu “Entertainment, Music, Dylan” ; or by selecting the Category drop down under “Bob Dylan”
Cheers.

I know what the term used was. They were Nazis.
Anyhoo, I was just wondering if I was imagining the lengthy comments that disappeared.
As for Dylan, I find him completely overrated.
Cheers.

No comment was removed. You might have extrapolated from Gestapo to Nazis.
You could use the search function to find any use of the word “Nazi”
Cheers

My mistake. I thought I saw at least two comments from Web Sheriff and two from you. I guess I imagined them, and they never existed in the first place.
Are you able to see that saying someone uses “Gestapo” tactics is like calling them Nazis? The Gestapo were Nazis. Or do you feel you can hint that they are like Nazis, without using the actual word, and everything is nice and polite, because you technically didn’t use the word “Nazi”?
Generally when people bring up the Nazis in a discussion on the interwebz people lose credibility.
But you know that. It’s probably why you used “Gestapo” instead of “Nazis”, when they were one in the same.
Oh well. Carry on!

The implication was secret police – spying on people. I could have said Stasi or some other version of same. It was not to be taken literally, just a literary allusion. Cheers.
