Coming on Monday to a stage in California, Steve Jobs will announce the newest iPhone
Gizmodo had their computers seized by the police for having the prototype. If you wait until Monday, you will be able to see what Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs wants us to buy or at least salivate over.
The iPhone 4 will be announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
New features will be forward and backward facing video cameras. You’ll be able to video phone someone if a) you’re good looking enough and b) you have one of AT&T’s expensive data plans.
Not everyone looks good enough to video chat but most people under 40 won’t care. Oldsters will keep the camera’s off while the phone call is going.
Video chat is OK with grand children but even then you discover they are watching TV while talking to you. See iPhone next-gen: Ready for video chat?
The new iPhone 4 is expected to support faster data services, have a larger 64GB capacity, and use a new faster processor to allow multi-tasking (same chip as iPad).
The pricing is expected to be about the same as the current phone. Current generation iPhone 3GS have already been dropping in price. Wait until Monday for the details. Shipments are expected to hit retail in about 30 to 45 days after the announcement.
