Keeping sales of Office strong until Office 2010 launches in September
Microsoft will soon launch a buy-one-get the upgrade free program for Office 2007 buyers.
If you buy Office 2007 after the program launch later in March, you qualify to get the new version Office 2010 when it ships in September 30, 2010.
Of course, if they didn’t offer the upgrade, why bother to buy new software today. You can use their demo program to install Office 2007 for 90 days which most people do.
The program is expected to launch March 5th. Also expect lots of turns and twists so read the fine print. Microsoft Office is the most popular word processing, email and spreadsheet program in the “purchased” office productivity category. 80% of enterprise users are on Microsoft Office according to Forrester.
