CCTV cameras inside Palmera Market in Port-Au-Prince capture the earthquakes destruction
The store starts to shake at 22 seconds into the tape. The shaking continues with most of the shelves falling over. People exit and the quake appears to stop after 27 seconds. The tape then shows the same event from different closed circuit cameras in the store. The store wasn’t totally destroyed and later was a source of food for people. Some called it looting: some just called it survival.

I was there that day, in that market. the owner has more video but did not post it. He showed it to my friend when he was in the store recently. If anyone knows how i can get this video, I’d love to see it. i am also on facebook as Rosemary Blair.

If anyone sees the video with me in it, please let me know. I am a white woman wearing black skirt & top. I get knocked down and (I think) partially buried by debris & shelving. The 2 white men I was travelling with come and help me up and then we run out of the store. In the first video, I see one of my Haitian friends. I am trying to remember the earthquake and this would be a big help.
