Conan looks dejected Charlottetown Guardian has inside source
NBCs rumored changes to the tonight show have the pundits abuzz with speculation. Jay’s back and Conan’s drifting. The Leno haters are out in full-force. Jay takes little notice of them and started on the 7th show that night with sheer mockery of NBC.
Conan on the other hand appears a mite dispirited by the whole episode, as he should. He didn’t comment on the 7th. By the next night he said “NBC want me to follow Jay Leno.”
TMZ has the scoop which is driving the newspapers to distraction. It’s another example of how irrelevant the newspapers have become. TMZ broke it on January 7th and we covered it 2 hours later.
The next day the Charlottetown Guardian ran a weak story that implied they had an inside source on the story “a person familiar with discussions.” Wow, someone from the mighty Charlottetown Guardian on the inside in Hollywood. We won’t speculate who that might be.
A person familiar with discussions held Thursday said the network is considering a scenario that would include a half-air Leno show at 12:35 a.m. AT , pushing ‘The Tonight Show’ with Conan O’Brien to 1:05 and Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Late Night’ to 2:05 a.m.
The person wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the discussions and spoke on condition of anonymity. Charlottetown Guardian
Why don’t they just admit they got the story from TMZ, AP, or CP?
