Late nights in Vancouver can be pretty lonely sometimes
Video director Tim Der sent me this cool and evocative video of the lonely nights in a city based on Paper Moon’s String of Blinking Lights.
Try it. It sounds, looks and feels cool. The singer gets under your skin with her breezy style.
There are so many groups. Paper Moon has been around from 2000 to 2006 when they released this song.
They’re from Winnipeg Manitoba and are still gigging there and out west.
Paper Moon have a website and a new CD, Only During Thunderstorms, this year which I will try to check out. Not today though.
I’ll favourite their YouTube so it shows for a few days on the front page. In case you don’t see it, here’s the link.
This is not an official video. It’s a fan video and a pretty good one. Tim brings another vision to the band’s video which is essentially “us playing and having fun”.
Director Tim Der is doing a Hitchcock thing by appearing as the b&w real guy. That’s his signature on timmyder.com. He’s into video and into himself, but who isn’t. You might check out his personal journey.

I shot the video of the band in Winnipeg as well.
