One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind

Now begins a series of Stay / No Stay decisions while the ground crew and Eagle crew cycle all systems to ensure they can lift off from the moon safely.

With some pretty mundane and technical work, man is on the moon.

Soon Neil Armstrong will be the first man to step foot on the moon. This has been an exciting series from the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

It was a thrill to follow it in real time. The house has resonated with equipment noise and vox for days. I’m going out to have a celebratory drink on the deck in our summer heat.
