Tech Crunch reports Apple sold 1 million of the new iPhone 3G S cell phone from Friday to Sunday. That is about the same run rate as the original iPhone 3G last summer. Over 3 million users updated to OS 3 over the weekend.
Still loving my new iPhone 3G S. Lots of tunes transferred over but the purchased music and videos didn’t sync. I have to work on that when I get time.
The GPS is cool. I tracked our progress to Souris and back yesterday. It was very accurate in town. It knew when we stopped for the light at By-Pass that we were just before the turn down to Riverside Drive.
The Compass is also cool. I’ll never get lost on the Arctic Tundra again.
I now get email, junk and otherwise, on the little thingy. So keep those cards and letters coming folks.
There is more to learn.
My son, the jet-setting, new media, junior tycoon lost his iPhone in a cab in Montreal. He told me in an exclusive Father’s Day phone interview – OK it was a conversation – that he is replacing it with a Blackberry. He said the Blackberry is better for emails. He likes the Blackberry keyboard better than the iPhone screen keyboard. My son is totally into new media and all that is going to happen so I wonder what that means.
As the French say, à chacun son goût.
