The virus is still working on Facebook. I got another virus infected email this morning. Don’t click on links is the best defense
Facebook was hacked successfully yesterday and it never stops at MySpace. Avast virus checker has been going off regularly if I go to MySpace which is a pain. Yesterday a friend on MySpace sent me an intriguing message that was another virus attack. Avast caught that one too.
Facebook is advising people to change their passwords. That means the virus has accessed their records. Not good. Our advice is to use a password on Facebook that is unique. If and when it gets hacked again, the little devils won’t be looking at your bank account or other secure sites.
If you change your Facebook password, do not follow any external links to Facebook. Log in from the normal log-in screen and proceed to accounts. Just being nervous.
On the Facebook security site they don’t suggest Avast which is free, just virus software you have to buy. That’s not smart. We have used everything on their list and prefer Avast for low footprint on the computer, efficiency, completeness and the price.
