The PEI Treasury is like many part of our government uneven it’s performance. One of the irritating and inefficient things that ticks me off every year is the budget documents are released in a un-unsearchable format. The documents are on the web as Acrobat PDF files but they screw up and you can’t use the search feature. That means one has to scroll down all 188 pages to find a specific line item. I’m not quite sure how incompetent you have to be to create a document without search. It’s a standard Acrobat feature. Justice aren’t much better. They have 100’s of complex legal forms on-line that no one bothered to add data fields so they can be filled out on-line. How about IRAC with it’s forms that you can fill out but not save. Provincial employees must need to be paid more to think.
