Brit MP George Galloway, too hot for Canada?

As anyone who reads these pages will know, I support freedom of belief, expression, religion, the press. I don’t believe in censorship. Let’s add something else to the list. I am pro-Jewish. I support the existence of the Israeli state and hope like many people that Arabs and Israeli’s can find a compromise that ensure both of their futures. I also believe that the Palestinians deserve to live as well. They are between a rock and a hard place. Israel cannot justify killing women and children. They may become just as evil as the evil they fled in Germany. There are lots of Jews and Israeli’s who support moderate points of view. Whatever, in Canada we have freedom of speech and Jews don’t get to act as censors. No one does. I’m not relinquishing my rights to the JDF or anyone. Neither should you.

However, I don’t support the Jewish Defense League’s efforts to ban free speech and the entrance of George Galloway into Canada. The JDF’s lobbying has been successful; however, it harms them. Resorting to Fascism when you have been the victim of Fascism seems contradictory. Here is the JDF letter encouraging Galloway’s ban. Remember, Galloway is not a criminal. He is the 22 year elected MP of the British Parliament, a valid representative of one of the world’s most enduring democracies. Let’s work to preserve those values and not allow extremists including Jewish extremists to abridge our freedoms.

The contra here is that I knew very little of Galloway until I started researching this story. Somehow through JDF censorship this guy, who may be a right wing extremist, looks like a victim. The JDF forgot about the internet. Would they like to censor it as well? Perhaps the JDF would like to take over CSIS and start spying on me because I don’t agree with every last one of their pronouncements. Take a hike! You’re giving Jews a bad name.

An Open Letter to the Government of Canada Keep George Galloway out of Canada

It has come to the attention of the Jewish Defence League that a UK MP George Galloway, will be speaking in Toronto. As you are aware, anti Jewish attacks are on the rise across the world. Some of our campuses have given platforms to proxies from Radical Iran. It is our hope that the Government of Canada will not permit George Galloway entry into Canada. I have enclosed some information about George Galloway below;

George Galloway has spoken in Canada before, in 2006, at Carleton University and Concordia University. Here is a link exposing the fact that his visit was partly financed by the Syrian Social Nationalist Movement:

I remember seeing an on-line poster of this outfit, advertising Galloway’s visit, on the now defunct Judeoscope Blog. The poster had neo-Nazi trappings, in bright red and black. Blog describing the Galloway visit, the poster, and the SNNN:
