Splashdown, passengers walking out onto wing, first rescue boats arrive – US Coast Guard CCTV from New Jersey – we can see the plane is floating and moving down river relative to the NYC shore. (short version – long version is below)

Coast Guard video – 10 minutes (long version). If you wait patiently you can see how tricky the rescue was. The landing is at 3:31 on the tape marker.
The plane is drifting radidly down the Hudson. People are on the wing within a minute, one man falls into the water and is rescued by a fellow passenger. The first ferry steams towards it and then has to reverse course to keep from colliding with the plane’s wing or hurting passengers. Men on the end of the ferry are pulling people off the wing and handing them along brigade style. a lot of heros that day.
