Disability Travel Notes: today I will travel by plane back home to PEI. I’ve been up since 6 AM worrying the little details. I can’t take much carry-on since I will be wheelchair bound. My grown-up children are taking me to the airport and my daughter has the wheelchair in her trunk – I hope she arrives on time. Airports used to be impossible without the chair. Now getting around is relatively easy except for the handheld luggage. The whole day will be exhausting. I have given up any hope of seeing Lennie Gallant in Rustico tonight.
