By Stephen Pate – That didn’t take long. The Lumia 950 XL smartphone just went on sale Monday November 16th, for delivery next week. It sold out before the day was over.

A new batch of 950 XL’s for delivery December 11th sold out on Tuesday. It’s hard to say how many that means but it’s a good sign for Microsoft that orders are coming in beyond their estimates.

The only phone you can order for early delivery in Canada is the Lumia 950
icon which is essentially the same phone in a 5.2″ screen. In the United States the Lumia 950 is available from AT&T stores or online.

The Lumia 950 will be more comfortable in your hands than the larger 950 XL if you don’t have large hands.

If you don’t mind waiting a little, the 950 XL will be back in stock soon at the Microsoft Store in Canada and the United States.  Don’t forget: the 950 XL comes with the free Display Dock for Continuum until January 31, 2016 when ordered from the Microsoft Store  in Canada and the United States, A $100 US value.
