Another adventure in world class photography with a Nokia Lumia phone

In the latest installment of our assignment to shoot the Seven Natural Wonders of the World with Lumia, National Geographic photographer Stephen Alvarez went to Nepal to capture the majestic beauty and extreme contrasts of Mount Everest, using the Lumia 930 (http://nokia.com/lumia930) and Lumia 1520 (http://nokia.com/lumia1520).

By Stephen Pate – The cool thing about these Nokia projects is the professional photographers only use Nokia Lumia 930 and Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphones for the video and stills.

While I’m not a National Geographic professional photographer, my photographs have been steadily improving as I upgrade phones. The iPhone 2013 photographs are crude compared with the one’s I’ve taken with my Lumia 920 lately.

I can’t wait for the 20 MP camera in my replacement phone when the time comes. I am almost tempted to upgrade now just to get a better camera.
