Mayor Cory Booker was already a super mayor – now he is a super hero by saving a woman from a burning house

Newark Mayor Cory Booker appeared on Ellen today to talk about his adventure saving his neighbor from her burning home.

Update – for some reason the “Ellen” clip was removed from YouTube.

There are some men who are heroes and Cory Brooker is one.

He risked his own life by going into the burning home because he knew the women was inside.

Risking his own life, against the wishes of his handlers, he defied the odds and twice went through a burning kitchen. The second time he was carrying his neighbor on his back to save her life.

“That was the moment I had a conversation with God,” Booker said. “I really didn’t think we were going to get out of there.”

This was not a one time act. I’ve been following Cory Brooker from the early days of Twitter. Somehow I found him. His activities are amazing in a world of self-serving politicians. I always like to keep up with his comings and goings but this is over the top.

Cory Booker shovels people’s walks. If he’s going into a neighborhood, he will Tweet his arrival and ask people if they need his help.

He has reduced crime in Newark, improved city services and help make Newark liveable again.

He is one inspiring human being.

I love this guy and I’m not even from Newark, although I’ve been there.

Update – sorry we misspelled the Mayor’s name as “Brooker”
