Make the hair stand up on the back of your neck – Sir Paul McCartney rocks out The End of the 2012 Grammy’s with a little help from his friends + My Valentine
By Stephen Pate The Grammy Awards 2012 went out with a bang as Sir Paul McCartney sang The Beatles Medley from the famous album Abbey Road. It’s the set piece of his road tours lately.
He was joined on stage by Bruce Springsteen, Joe Walsh of The Eagles, and Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters.
Holding their own are McCartney’s touring band members – Rusty Anderson and Brian Ray on guitar, Paul Wix Wickens on keyboards and Abe Laboriel, Jr. on drums. They are one of the best bands in the world. Wikipedia
The boys duke it out with hot guitar lead licks on ‘Carry That Weight’ proving that old rockers still got the right stuff. Sir Paul likes to do The Medley on tour. We saw it in Halifax, NS and the crowd went wild.
The guitar cutting duel on “The End” makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. These guys are some hot guitar players.

My Valentine
Sir Paul was a featured performer earlier in the evening with My Valentine, a new song from his new CD Kisses on the Bottom.
The CD and video feature 12 old standards that Sir Paul loves like It’s Only a Paper Moon and I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself A Letter.

Joe Walsh backed him on that song on a tasty nylon string guitar. We think of Joe Walsh as the frantic rock guitarist. He was also the best guitarist in The Eagles and was featured playing delicate leads as well as screamers.
