Television news sucks and here’s why
Do you have an hour of your life every day to waste on TV news?
Hours of a life are wasted watching TV news waiting for the story you want.
Last night I had to sit through the CBC National to hear their comment on Tiger Woods. At the start of the program they announced there was some hot news on Tiger’s scandal.
So like a dope on a rope I waited and waited and waited. After 35 minutes their panel got on and talked about the “story” of Tiger Woods. Was the media too driven by scandal, blah blah blah? The weird thing was they said TV, newspapers and magazines were feeding the scandal. What?
Tiger Woods accident and family problems were broken on the Internet, mostly on TMZ. The TV reports are always hours if not days late. On Tuesday night, TMZ broke Tiger’s semi-confession. Tiger Woods confesses, voice mail out and Chinese video. I put our story together by Googling Tiger and only looking at the recent posts. CBC National had part of the story Wednesday night. Who cares by then?
No one who wants to know what’s happening in the world a day late. The really late news comes in the printed newspaper where they print today’s news and give it to you tomorrow.
We get the stories we want, when we want them and don’t need newspaper companies or TV networks to spoon feed us.
