Note to CBC website – ditch the ads
The new CBC video on demand site is a step in the right direction. It’s easy to use with thumbnails to help you find the stories.
They have to ditch the 30 second ad spots. This is the Internet boys not TV. No more captive audiences. Find another way to make money but don’t try to capture my eyeballs.
You could step up the radio stories on line as well. CBC does news features that are worth listening to but who can keep their ear glued to a radio anymore. Brendon Elliot broadcast something yesterday at 5:10 but I can’t stop and find a radio on a certain moment. It’s like they want the world to stop for them – OK I can’t do anything my head has to be locked onto a tiny speaker.
Time is on our side CBC. We will check you out when we get time. Sorry but it’s a brave new world.
