Greasy ribs awash in Maritime beer
Blonde Amazon waitress I can still see ‘er.

I wish I wish I wish in vain
That I could be back in Halifax again
To hear the blues played so well
Mason and Murphy under their spell

Grooving, feeling the beat
The raucous 12-bar heat
But I am adrift in another land
And will miss these two great bands
