Liberal MLA Janice Sherry, what is she hiding and who is she protecting?

Don’t the Liberals know everything will be revealed

The PEI Liberal majority in the Public Accounts Committee are blocking any and all motions by the Conservatives to ask questions based on the Auditor General’s report.

In his April 2009 report, the Auditor General reviewed 5% of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) files and found 20% had irregularities. Any sample audit that shows that high a rate of problems deserves another look.

The Liberals are stalling. While the Liberal members of the PAC may not have received any PNP money, they sure are covering up for someone.

Liberal members are blocking government transparency at every turn. Along with Janice Sherry, they include Paul Biggar, Sonny Gallant, Charles McGeoghegan, Buck Watts and Robert Vessey.

As James Travers said in the Toronto Star this week,

As the Quebec sponsorship scandal taught Liberals, hiding the whole truth only works for so long. Sooner or later, someone somewhere decides it’s in their best interest to pull back the covers.

It all comes out in the wash. “For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.” Mark 4:22.

The civil service is comprised of an equal mix of Liberal and Tory supporters. Sooner or later they are going to spill the beans and then Liberal PAC Janice Sherry, Paul Biggar and the rest of the gang are going to look like criminals hiding other criminals.

Down in the US, someone left the secret reports about 30 congressmen under investigation for fraud in an open place. It ended up at the Washington Post.

Over in the UK, MPs who cheated on their expense claims were found out and disgraced. They have to give the money back and some won’t be allowed to run again.

The Federal Liberals tried to cover up Ad Scam and it cost them the government.

In recent weeks, the PAC has not been allowed to ask the Auditor General:

1. Who among the MLA’s applied for and who received PNP money
2. What other civil servants are involved
3. What companies were involved
4. To hear new witnesses including Federal officials
5. How much the Province will lose if the immigrants demand their money back
