Does the Guardian print press releases without checking?

Cut and paste those press releases

Cut and paste those press releases

Yes and they don’t even bother to format after cutting and pasting onto the website

The Guardian was either in a rush or lazy today when it go THE BIG NEWS OF THE DAY Jenkins-Smith takes over Tourism Charlottetown, P.E.I. Convention Partnership
As the snap of their website shows, they didn’t bother to correct the formatting problems when they cut and pasted the press release into the story. The press release has tiny fonts until it gets to the phrase

said Partnership president Doug Newson

They didn’t check the copy in their rush and missed that it had embedded html formatting commands.

Well those press releases from PEI’s Queen of the Liberal Millionaire Club are important. “Print them right away” must be the orders from on-high at the Guardian publisher.

Any friend of the Premier is a friend of ours.

If the Charlottetown Guardian wasn’t so funny it would be pathetic.

At the famous Pate-Gate press gallery lynching of Stephen Pate, a CBC reporter mocked the Guardian staff for printing press releases without checking.

He said that’s why the Guardian was all upset over NJN’s satire Government announces solution for disabled access to Confederation Library. Apparently they were afraid the Guardian might have printed the satire without looking.

Not to worry: the Charlottetown Guardian apparently has a fail safe system of editorial checks and balances.

It must be something like: is this from a friend of the government, then print it.

If not, put it in the pile with the rest of the fill.

  1. The real question here should be…

Does Myrtle Have to give back the PNP Money she received? Not just for the company they are shutting down either but what about the other comapny called Make a Reservation Inc which received 4 PNP units.

All well and good that Myrtle and her buddy are getting nice new jobs.

But what about the Chinese Immigraants who invested their money in Myrtle’s Companies?

There should be some question in the House as to just what happens with the PNP money.
