The Canadian Comparison: Part 1

Health care has got people talking and critiquing the Canadian US differences and similarities. Most of the articles are biased number-benders that try to show Americans live long, stronger with health care and we should emulate them.

The Salem Oregon Salem-News published some real numbers, like Canadians have a longer life expentancy, lower rates of violent death, lower rates of incarceration and child/infant mortality.

Canadian GDP is approximately the same as American.

Worth reading for the facts. It does not take a jingoistic or superior attitude for either side of the border. It does put some major facts on paper.

And we are the best neighbors in the world.
