A French cultural group on P.E.I. is disappointed the Confederation Centre Library is falling short when it comes to offering assistance to francophones, but the province doesn’t see the problem.
‘We certainly have received no complaints or concerns at the Confederation public library.’

The provincial library recently added Chinese materials and hired a temporary staff member who speaks both Mandarin and Japanese in reaction to an influx of immigrants from China, but no one on staff is considered fluent in French.

Garth Mulroy edged out Chris Tidland by one point in the South Georgia Classic at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga. The event ended on April 26th, 2009. With five PGA events under his belt, Mulroy is 2nd in the money at $151,241 on the nationwide tour. Continue reading

Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements was published in 1997. Ruiz struggled to reconcile his native Toltec wisdom of Southern Mexico with the modern world. Actor Peter Coyote narrates this short film based on Ruiz’s book. The theme reminds me of Buddhist meditation or other ritualistic prayers like the Rosary. They all lead one to the same place – inner peace – a nice place to be. Have you heard the cool new group in the UK, Bat for Lashes? Excellent if I do say. Good keyboards and synths, bass to die for, solid vocals. Try the video. There are several versions of the song Daniel on YouTube which is awesome. The E4 Fresh Saturday version has a chest vibrating bass line. The thing is all tone, recorded and mixed to perfection.
