The Guardian Comments:

Where is Premier Ghiz? from PEI this is one of the biggest frauds in pei history ………it will make polar look like candy……………….one term for Giz i hope stephen pate stays on this because the guardian wont ———what law firms received money,,,what former mlas received money,,,,,,what former cabinet ministers received money……….this is BIGGGGGGGG!!!!

the little guy from PEI writes: This is Big and it has aided many struggling small business. This program has saved several jobs. This program has saved your neighbours.

Pony Up from PE writes:

For all those “legitimate” companies who received, I hope it is working out well for you and you. I think this program is great for local island companies who have contributed to our economy and took the risk and invested their own hard earned dollars and sweat equity.

This has helped our hard working business owners have some capital to do improvements, hire more staff and develop their business.

For all those “greedy” politically connected people who just incorporated to take advantage of the program and have no idea how to run a business or take a risk…shame on you!!!

I believe both political parties have participated in what most would consider fraudulent money laundering to their friends and political cronies. You all know who you are and I hope you are losing sleep over this and are held accountable for “taking advantage” of this program and your political affiliations/friendships. Some questions need to be asked and made public.

1. How many politically connected individuals and their families (wives, sons, daughters, family trusts, fathers, mothers, FRIENDS) got units. I think this would astonish the general public. Make the list public and let the voters decide!

2. How many newly incorporated companies that have no business history or their own working capital get units? (just go to www.gov.pe.ca and search the Corporate/Business Name Registry and see all the people who just created numbered companies in the last 6 months…scandalous!) Look who their shareholders are and then ask them, “did you get PNP units? (just go to www.gov.pe.ca and search the Corporate/Business Name Registry and see all the people who just created numbered companies in the last 6 months…scandalous!) Look who their shareholders are and then ask them, “did you get units.” When the list becomes public you will then know. This is just not the liberals who have “soaked” this program. The conservatives and their cronies are just as bad. In the end it is simple….print the list of all individual company shareholders who received units. Punish those who were fraudulent and just created business to take advantage of free money and no accountability. Publishing the list to the general public will be good enough punishment in my opinion. This will tell the tale of who they really are…greedy and fraudulent with no integrity. You will see many of them in church on Sunday. Say a prayer for them!

Stephen Pate from Charlottetown Everyone knows or suspects governments of being crooked. We got all excited over the Liberal $100 million ad scam. This one is over $500 million and the number isn’t really known. Who will go to jail and not collect $200?

Who cares if they steal from the Chinese? The program is racist besides being criminal.

They are stealing from all of us. Where are the social programs, the help for those who need help. Where is the business development for the Island not just retirement money for political cronies?

asking for trouble from PEI writes: look at the terms of the program. It’s just asking for corruption and fraud. It’s legalized bribery

Mary mac from pei writes: How long before there will be charges laid in an investigation like this. Who get to call in the Auditor general. Why is the guardian restricting comments on this story. Is it not a real look at the depth of corruption on PEI

angry about liberals from PEI writes: ya mean ANOTHER Liberal cabinet minister is under investigation by the police on PEI?
